Bypassing a windows password using HIRENS BOOT CD

How did I do this?

1. Load the Hirens Boot CD to a usb stick or a CD.
2. Go into the victims BIOS.
3. Boot from the USB/CD.
4. Open the Lazesoft Password Recovery tool.
5. Click next until you have to choose the user who you want to attack.
6. Click on the account you want to attack and then click next.
7. Click on RESET/UNLOCK, then click finish.
8. Now the attack is complete and you can just power down the machine and remove the USB/CD.
9. After booting back to windows you will see that you don't have to give a password anymore.

How can I prevent this?

• Best way to protect yourself against this is to set a password on your BIOS.
